The Uses and general introduction:

The machine is special-purpose machine for machining wheel sets profiles, journals and inside of locomotives, and gauge of which is 1435mm. It is suitable for manufacturing and repairing factory of railway and transport department concerted, The machine can meet turning of wheel set profiles, journals, and meet related standard of Ministry of Railway.

CNC Special Purpose Lathe consists of lathe bed, left/right headstock, left/right tool carriage (include tool-setting measuring device), jack, hydraulic system, electrical control system, lubrication system etc. Main drive can be driven by two AC frequency conversion motors, and spindle realize stepless speed change within 7.5~42r/min by precision planetary gear reducer. Machine CNC System adopt SIEMENS 828D (other CNC Systems are available on the request of customer), feed system is driven by servo motor.

Main characteristics and functions of machine

2.1 Machine drive adopt separation drive, and wheel sets are driven by spindle simultaneously. Two suits of arc claw bite wheel sets on each faceplate.

2.2 The longitudinal and cross movement of tool carriage is driven by CNC methods. Automatic processing can be realized by inputting (manual operation) diameter and related parameter.

2.3 Tool carriage is equipped with Swedish SANDVIK special-purpose tools of railway, and it can realize better result and lower the cost during machining. Facing tool should be replaced while machining the inside of wheel sets.

2.4 Tool carrier equipped with special tools for machining and repairing inner brake disc of wheel sets.

2.5 The machine is equipped with special-purpose tooling for machining the wheel sets profiles, journals and inside of locomotives.

2.6 The machine has functions of wheel outline curve programming, machining, memory, display, and also has functions of safety protection, preventing the false operation, alarm display.

2.7 CNC carriage tool equipped with automatic tool-setting measuring device can finish vertical and horizontal positioning automatically to increase efficiency and automation. Measuring function: to measure the diameter of left/right wheel, the width of wheel rim.
